EXPLORE THE GAMBIA
From 2025, ABBA International School will welcome volunteers to set up occupational workshops at its school.
We’re offering two- to four-week stays that will enable you to offer educational activities to the children, which you’ll run with the help of the teachers.
The content of the activity will be chosen by the volunteer after approval by the manager.
Whether it’s drawing, painting, crafts or games, the children will be very happy to meet you and share these special moments with you. Please choose activities that do not require a lot of equipment.
Although English is the language spoken by the children, there will be no difficulty in communicating with them. Teachers who teach French will be on hand to help you.
You will be accommodated in our guest house, where you will find everything you need for a pleasant stay.
In the evening, you can enjoy an excellent local meal in one of the many oceanfront restaurants while listening to local bands.
A financial contribution will be requested to cover the costs of accommodation, food and transport for this stay at the school.
You should also know that our local partner in Banjul, the travel agency Air Travel & Tours, will be able to help you book your plane ticket if you wish. The agency can also propose hotels, tours and stays to extend your stay in The Gambia or Senegal.
